A Right Royal Wedding!

The Day of the Royal Wedding was a Bank Holiday - the Secret Garden were actually busy busy creating wedding flowers of our own - for a wedding the next day.  While we did not manage to get
a day off we did manage to watch the whole ceremony at the shop while we worked. It was wonderful and relaxing - and sometimes quite tearful.  The Royal Wedding was beautiful and full of inspiration

Our own personal wedding commission was very special - for a client from London who was coming back to her home town Leeds to be married - she had chosen quite fittingly the colours of royal purple for her theme - needless to say it was very very beautiful. ( this colour theme is proving very big this year ).

Easter & Spring Window Display 2011

Our Easter and Spring Window display took on a very special look - to make this 'egg-stra' special for the kiddiwinks and to give them something to smile at on their way to school / nursery ( we have loads and loads of children pass our shop on a daily basis going to school, nursery and just regular shopping )
we decided on a display with a very specific theme - Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland and the scene from the Mad Hatters Tea party.

Character props of the Mad Hatter himself and the Rabbit were created and sat in grand surroundings of
a very vintage and mad tea affair.  Any one who appreciates fine china ware were in for a treat, we displayed for the tea party a fine bone china black and aubergine coloured Japanese  themed set...very very elegant and beautiful.  A very fitting affair for the Mad Hatter and his vivid green stripey outfit. His top hat was a sight to behold and the scene was made complete with lots of other Easter paraphernalia -

lots and lots of comments - Thank you.
